The Interpreter for the Deaf Licensure Act of 2007 requires anyone who is providing interpreting services in Illinois to be licensed unless specifically exempted under the Act. Any individual who is subject to the Interpreter for the Deaf Licensure Act of 2007 must abide by the Act and the Rules, regardless of the employment setting, unless specifically exempted by the Act.
